This is the official mobile application for the Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forests. Now you have all the information you need in the palm of your hand to help you navigate and experience Georgia’s two national forests. This FREE app includes 48 recreation sites and provides information about their facilities and opportunities for hiking, camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming, boating, off-roading, horseback riding, mountain biking, and sightseeing.

New simplified layout and design is easier to use than ever before and includes the following features:

Interactive map – Recreation sites are shown as markers and can be filtered by selected activity.

List view – Recreation sites can also be viewed as a scrollable list that also can be filtered by selected activity. Sites are listed alphabet

News & Alerts – Stay informed about current forest news, events and alerts.

Recreation site details – A variety of information and tools are available for each rec site:

• Photographs depicting various features and amenities
• Site descriptions including amenities, hours, fees and directions
• Phone numbers for emergency help and more information
• Navigation and turn-by-turn directions to each site (GPS and Internet connection required)
• Mark your favorite recreation sites and easily view them with the touch of an icon

Streaming Web cameras – See the current view from Brasstown Bald, the tallest mountain in Georgia and one of the most popular recreation sites in the national forests.

Social media interaction – Users can create a profile to allow them to check into recreation sites and share posts and photos on social media with other users of the app.

Push notifications – Special notices and alerts can be sent straight to the app from Forest Service personnel to immediately provide you urgent information.
